OOR LEEF

LEEF is ‘n beweging wat die sosiale behoeftes in ons direkte en nabye leefwêreld aanspreek.
Behoeftes word op die beginsel van Bate gebaseerde Gemeenskapsontwikkeling aangespreek. Meer bekend in Engels as ABCD (Asset Based Community Development).

Hierdie benadering identifiseer die waarde, vaardighede, raakpunte en potensiaal in ‘n gemeenskap. Dit beklemtoon die balans tussen die aanspreek van behoeftes en die ontwikkeling van menslike bates en natuurlike hulpbronne binne ‘n gemeenskap. Individue, instansies en maatskappye word dan gemobiliseer vir hierdie taak.
Hoe doen ons dit?

Van tyd tot tyd bied LEEF werkswinkels in en om die gemeenskap aan om hierdie bates en hulpbronne te identifiseer, en enige iemand is welkom om hierdie werkswinkels by te woon. Ons het ‘n databasis van die persone wat die werkswinkels bywoon en wanneer daar projekte geloots word, gebruik ons dit om hande en voete aan die projekte te gee.

Projekte kan óf deur LEEF óf deur persone uit die gemeenskap geïnisieer word, en as jy ‘n voorstel het, nooi ons jou om vir meer inligting met ons by leefprojekte@pvr.co.za kontak te maak. Ons hoor graag van jou!

Groentetonnels

By die groentetonnels word vars groente verbou. Hierdie groente word vars in kospakkies verpak en ook in ingelegde vorm in nie-bederfbare kospakkies versprei. Vars groente word ook gereeld aan versorgingstehuise geskenk.

Versorgingspan

Hierdie span vrywilligers maak kontak met persone wat ‘n operasie ondergaan het of wat siek is, om te hoor of hulle enige hulp nodig het, veral ook persone wat onder kwarantyn is a.g.v. Covid-19.
